The Weapons of the Spirit

Lord Jesus Christ,

You who overcame the world not with power or argument,

but with silence, humility, and love stretched upon the Cross,

teach my heart the warfare of Your kingdom.

When reason falters before the mystery of suffering,

when the mind grows weary searching for answers,

let me remember that Your wisdom is not of this world.

Disarm in me every impulse to defend, to justify, to control,

and arm me instead with faith, patience, and mercy.

Grant me the courage to stand beneath Your Cross,

to fight not with anger or calculation,

but with tears, forgiveness, and steadfast prayer.

Let my weakness become a shield,

my silence a weapon more powerful than words,

my surrender a victory hidden in Your wounds.

O Christ our God,

clothe me in the armor of Your Spirit,

in meekness that conquers pride,

in love that casts out fear,

in gratitude that confounds despair.

Feed me with the Bread of heaven,

that in every trial I may draw strength from Your Eucharist,

and in every darkness may behold the radiance of Your light.

For You alone are my peace and my victory,

and to You, with the Father and the Holy Spirit,

be glory, now and ever, and unto ages of ages. Amen.
